TSN: During Tuesday’s insider segment, Pierre LeBrun reported the Buffalo Sabres’ asking price (if they have their way) for pending UFA left wing Evander Kane “will be a first-round pick, plus a prospect, plus potentially a conditional pick in case he signs with that new team.” While there’s no firm timeline as to when the Sabres could move Kane, LeBrun suspects it’ll be near the Feb. 26 trade deadline.


Chris Nichols cites TSN’s Bob McKenzie’s appearance Wednesday on NBC Sports Network discussing the NHL trade market. He considers Buffalo Sabres left wing Evander Kane as the premier rental player available.


Seems like a decent return for Kane
As long as the prospect is a legit one

And I’d guess a conditional 2nd if Kane were to re-sign

Hopefully they send Ulmark and Guhle back to Rochester after tonight. I don't want our two best prospects surrounded by these clowns with this culture. Maybe send Reinhart back with them.

Why, when governments give additional points, or hiring preference to minority candidates is it morally or ethically correct to do so?

It kind of does. The subjugation of an entire race is going to leave lasting marks on society like not even looking at a black person's application/resume, and we should be mindful of that and try to implement something to try and, if not make up for it, at least try and stop it from happening again.

Just looking at the market...for me it seems like the teams that would have interest in kane can offer one or the other


San Jose really isnt in an ideal spot to give up draft picks but they might be willing to move Roy (d prospect). just my 2 cents....canadian so i guess my 1.6 ish cents

Too old/too many games I think. That was the main reason we didn't re-sign Grigorenko he would've had to clear waivers.

Glad to see Ullmark getting a shot in net before going back. I assumed they held him out of the Jets game because they wanted to send him back down to Rochester for the game the next day. Glad I was wrong.
